A: While liquid polish offers convenience, it is not suitable for long-term use on high-quality leather. Wax polish, though time-consuming to apply, provides essential nourishment and protection. For the highest level of care, cream polish stands out for its superior conditioning properties.

A: You should let shoe polish sit for about 5 to 10 minutes after applying it, allowing it to penetrate the leather before buffing with a horsehair brush for a soft shine, but for a deeper mirror shine or layering, waiting 10-20 minutes or even longer (even overnight for cream) is better, ensuring each thin layer dries before adding the next to build up gloss.

A: The number of coats your boots need depends on many factors, including the type of boot, the boot material, and how thick your coats are. Boot polish coats can be anywhere from 1 to 10 or more for a glossy shine. We recommend 3-5 for a solid polish.
